Arena of Terth

The Arena of Terth is located in the northwest corner of Sierhaven. It is a 40 wave PvE challenge which tests the player's abilities. Class skills are not enabled, and you must remove all armor/items before entering. There are bosses every 5 waves, with the exception being the final 5 waves (36-40), which each contain a boss. Some waves consist of secondary groups of enemies which spawn after a set amount of time. There is a checkpoint after completing wave 20, which allows players to start from wave 21 when trying the arena again. Starting from the checkpoint provides 4 Blood Dust and 192 Soul Dust.

Waves

Note: This Section is incomplete and may be inaccurate. The first three waves are always a normal wave. The fourth in a set of five is always a two part wave. The fifth is always a boss. The only exception is the final set of waves.

Wave Monsters Strategy
Wave 1
  • 3 Scavengers
Punch them to death. Scavengers are zombies. Easy to hit.
Wave 2
  • 3 Scavengers
  • 2 Lesser Rat
Punch them to death. Rats are Endermites, and are harder to hit.
Wave 3
  • 4 Strong Scavengers
  • 2 Medium Rats
Punch them to death. Be careful, both sets hit harder than previous waves.
Wave 4 First Group:
  • 4 Hungry Scavengers

Second Group:

  • 4 Hungry Scavengers
  • 3 Sewer Rats
First, 4 speedy skeletons spawn. Be careful of how quickly they move and kill them fast. After a bit, 4 more spawn but also with 3 Endermites. Defeat them.
Wave 5 - Boss Wave 1 Luke the Empowered Scavenger Luke is a Skeleton. He shoots arrows and teleports around the arena. When he teleports, he summons a Plague Rat where he teleported from(a slowly decaying Endermite).
Wave 6
  • 2 Plague Spiders
  • 2 Plaguebringers
Plague Spiders have Jump Boost. Plaguebringers drop potions on death that debuff anyone they touch - but also give buffs. Make sure to avoid buffed Plaguebringers.
Wave 7
  • 4 Plaguebringers
  • 2 Plague Monstrosities
Plague Monstrosities drop powerful lingering potions on death. Stay away from them.
Wave 8
  • 3 Plague Spiders
  • 3 Plaguebringers
  • Plague Monstrosity
Wave 9 First Group:
  • 2 Plague Spiders
  • 3 Plaguebringers
  • Plague Monstrosity

Second Group:

  • 4 Plaguebringers
  • Plague Monstrosity
Wave 10 - Boss Wave 2
  • Plague Immortal
  • 2 Plaguebringers
Wither Skeleton with strong melee attacks. After every {x} seconds, he summons a Plaguebringer.
Wave 11
  • Phantom Archer
  • 2 Phantom Knights
Make sure to dodge the arrows shot by the skeletons. They have punch and can knock you into the lava.
Wave 12
  • 3 Wisps
  • Phantom Knight
  • Phantom Archer
The wisps wield scythes with immense knockback. Stay grounded and near walls during this wave.
Wave 13
  • 2 Wisps
  • 2 Phantom Knights
  • 2 Phantom Archers
Wave 14 First Group:
  • 6 Wisps

Second Group:

  • Wisp
  • 3 Phantom Archers
  • 2 Phantom Knights
Control is important in the first part of this wave. Try not to get swarmed. Letting yourself get hit while bouncing between wisps in the middle is a viable strategy, if you don't care about your armor.
Wave 15 - Boss Wave 3 Phantom of the North Winds Skeleton archer with a punch bow. Strafe and dodge his arrows before striking.
Wave 16
  • 3 Lesser Mindfasers and Brainwashed Citizens
Mindfasers are guardians - use the pillars to negate the laser. Kill the creature the mindfaser is riding first - they increase in speed dramatically without the mindfaser atop them.
Wave 17
  • 2 Medium Mindfasers and Deceased Brainwashed Knights
  • 2 Lesser Mindfasers and Brainwashed Citizens
Wave 18
  • 2 Water Colossi
  • 3 Lesser Mindfasers and Brainwashed Citizens
  • Medium Mindfaser and Deceased Brainwashed Knight
Water Colossi have powerful knockback enchantments on their weapons. The counter to this is that they are slow. Stay grounded and kite them around.
Wave 19 First Group:
  • Water Colossus
  • 3 Lesser Mindfasers and Brainwashed Citizens
  • Medium Mindfaser and Deceased Brainwashed Knight

Second Group:

  • 2 Lesser Mindfasers and Brainwashed Citizens
Wave 20 - Boss Wave 4
  • Eternal Mindfaser and Ancient Water Warrior
  • Higher Mindfaser
The eternal mindfaser gives you blindness and slowness as long as it is alive. Use the pillars to strafe, but know that that will not always work. Bring healing potions.

Additionally, the eternal mindfaser summons a higher mindfaser every {x} seconds.

Wave 21
  • 3 Ender Ghosts
  • End Spirit
Enemies in this group of waves teleport every {x} seconds. Not too difficult of a mechanic to deal with, just annoying.
Wave 22
  • Ender Piercer
  • 2 Ender Ghosts
  • End Spirit
Ender Piercer has punch on his bow. Stay away from the lava.
Wave 23
  • Ender Piercer
  • 2 Ender Ghosts
  • 3 End Spirits
Wave 24 First Group:
  • 3 Ender Ghosts
  • 2 End Spirits

Second Group:

  • Ender Piercer
  • End Spirit
  • 2 Ender Ghosts
Wave 25 - Boss Wave 5
  • Adrash, Time Crusader
In addition to teleporting himself, Adrash also teleports you. He can teleport you horizontally or vertically, and can teleport you to a position where you are looking straight up. Adrash himself, however, is very slow and easily kiteable.
Wave 26
  • 2 Flame Spirits and Fire Colossi
  • 2 Hellbound Beasts
The fire colossi use the same logic as the mindfasers in waves 16-20 - kill the creature on the bottom first. Bad things happen if you don't.

The fire spiders are annoying but manageable. Try to avoid trading hits with them.

Wave 27
  • 2 Flame Spirits and Fire Colossi
  • 3 Hellbound Beasts
Wave 28
  • Fire Titan
  • 4 Hellbound Beasts
Fire Titans are scary - flame bows with punch as well. Try to get the titan to shoot a spider to take its attention off of you while you kill the remaining spiders.
Wave 29 First Group:
  • 2 Fire Titans
  • 3 Hellbound Beasts

Second Group:

  • 2 Flame Spirits and Fire Colossi
  • 2 Hellbound Beasts
For the first group, try to get the titans to fight each other and then kill them as they fight. For the second group, deal with them as you have previously.
Wave 30 - Boss Wave 6
  • Abraxás
  • 3 Infernos
Abraxás switches between a bow and a sword depending on how close the player is to him. His melee hits like a truck, bring a bow to this fight.
Wave 31
  • 4 Dark Knights
Wave 32
  • 2 Dark Knights
  • 4 Dark Knight's Shadows
Wave 33
  • 7 Dark Knights
  • 2 Dark Knight's Shadows
Wave 34 First Group:
  • 2 Dark Knights
  • 3 Dark Knight's Shadows

Second Group:

  • 3 Dark Knights
  • 3 Dark Knight's Shadows
Wave 35 - Boss Wave 7
  • Baudric, Ancient Dark Knight
summons "Baudric's Shadows" that die in 1 hit, earth charm is helpful here for thorns but not required
Wave 36 - Boss Wave 8
  • Zuki, Beast of Myths
Wave 37 - Boss Wave 9
  • Azor, General of Darkness
Wave 38 - Boss Wave 10
  • Udion, Master of Illusions
Wave 39 - Boss Wave 11
  • Barf the Necromancer
Wave 40 - Boss Wave 12
  • Yeigar
Yeigar has two phases. In the first phase he takes knockback as normal, very infrequently summons clones, and strikes lightning and turns the floor to lava. In the second phase, he does all of the above abilities, however he does them more frequently. In addition, he does not take knockback and occasionally summons blazes for a few seconds.

Strategy

Get to round 20 for the checkpoint for this strategy to work, but in general buy armor and get a weapon you are comfortable with. The general strategy is to kill the ranged enemies first then the melee enemies.

Round 20-25

Before you start round 20, buy the Blood Charm and the Life Charm from Jeremiah the Spellbinder. Combine the Blood Charm with a Basic Leather Tunic bought from Dox the Armourer in your crafting box. Afterward go Sigurd the Spellweaver and buy Uniform of the Arena Champion. Once acquired get the Soul Devouring Axe from Warrie the Weaponsmith. Buy some food, but mainly save money for golden apples for the final fight.

Round 25-30

Buy Gladiator armor (Helmet, Pants, Boots) from Dox the Armourer. Continue on. Make sure to target the blazes and spiders during these rounds. The wither skeletons are slow so you can just circle them while damaging the blazes with your axe.

Round 30-35

First get Basic Leather Pants from Dox the Armourer and combine them with your Life Charm. Then buy Starshine Pants from Sigurd the Spellweaver. Afterward get yourself an Advanced Stone Sword and make sure to stay near the center during these rounds. Make sure to swipe the enemies as critical hits do not do extra damage. Swipe as many enemies as possible and target the skeletons with the golden hoes. Aside from that, practice makes perfect and good luck.

Round 36

Buy golden apples and food with an Advanced Stone Axe, and good luck on this boss fight. The only challenging attack is when the boss starts glowing meaning they will speed towards you. Try running around and dodging it.

Round 37-39

Land critical hits and dodge, nothing much good luck.

Round 40

This boss is tough, so dodge as much as possible. When arrow attack comes, just run around and do not get hit. When blaze attack happens, run around in a circle and do not get hit. When the clone ability happens switch to your sword. When the lava attack happens jump on top some structures and run away from boss. Try to land as many attacks on the boss as possible and good luck.
