Arcane Rivalry is one of the many wool dungeons found in the first region, King's Valley. It is the, for the most part, the fourth Wool Dungeon the players will encounter. Upon completion, players will receive the Light Blue Wool.

Lore

"The order of mages resides in the grand university hidden inside these mountains. One of their most powerful artifacts - the light blue wool - possessed great arcane powers. It was so powerful that the mages had to contain it by using an ancient spell. One day, the order of alchemists, who were sworn enemies of the great mages, snuck into the university and stole the wool. Unfortunately, they did not know how to control the power of the wool. Slowly, the wool corrupted them and drove them mad. In an attempt to stop the corruption, the mages sealed the alchemist's bastion with a magic spell. We're safe ... for now."

Layout

The dungeon starts off with a water-filled cavern with water-themed enemies and ghasts.

Part 1 of the dungeon is the Arcane University, a large structure inhabited by various mages. The player must locate the 3 keys and insert them into the gate in order to proceed into part 2.

1. Simbelmyn - [-1494 181 551] - Right underground wing down a stairway
2. Ancient Mortar - [-1390 210 598] - Highest floor in the Academy's center
3. Aquanis Lily - [-1337 168 708] - Underground past a building with three large circular levels

Part 2 is the Alchemist's Bastion itself, another large structure worn down and swarmed with mad creatures. The 6 power crystals around the bastion must be destroyed and the button in the control room must be activated to open the core housing the light blue wool.
