The Tree of Life is a metaphysical concept based around the belief that there are ten core aspects to magic. Laid out along a tree diagram, with 22 connecting points, these aspects combine in unexpected ways to form the basis of magic we know today. The roots of this magic span below the entire world.
The bottom of the Tree contains Malkus, the power of Beginnings. Malkus' power is found in new starts, as a spell is cast. Invoking Malkus also invokes the start of life, and in a sense, can spell the end of it as well. It is a deep magic, rooted heavily in tradition, and magic cannot exist without it.
