The surrender of the Tlaxans was a massive moment for the expansion of the Narsen Empire, but not everyone went peacefully. In the earlier days of the war, a dark group of druids prepared a powerful ritual that would have won the war for the Tlaxans... but doomed their bodies and souls in the process, leaving the survivors dying husks. While the ritual was prepared, the Tlaxan leadership decided against this course of action, expecting a decisive victory. After the surrender, these druids shrunk into the shadows, and prepared...
Almost three decades later they decided it was time. Having managed to gain control of the Serpentsia tribe of Beastmen they began their attack. The druids sent the Serpentsia against Farr, then prepared to launch their ritual at the town at the height of its power. The end result would have left the town in ruins and the citizens immortal monsters, enslaved to the druids. As powerful magics flew through the air, and the walls of Farr began to crumble, the High Council of mages from Sierhaven swept in. Having caught wind of the planned attacks thanks to the work of Nyr-based scouts, they engaged the powerful cabal of druids in a fierce battle lasting several days. When the dust cleared the casualties were high, but the druids were destroyed, and the Serpentsia rendered extinct, or so the Council thought. But recently, they have reemerged with power before unseen. It would seem the remnants of the Sons of the Forest have been hard at work, and have control of some form of powerful additional magic. What they want and what they are doing is as yet unknown, but the High Council is on full alert. War is coming.
