After an intense period of trading and trust earning, Macguire managed to negotiate a trade for the ultimate sign of the Dichen people's trust - a carved rifle used to tell the story of the group's history. These people have a truly beautiful relationship with the earth, while another group nearby seems to be akin with the sky? Macguire doesn't quite understand how this all works. All he knows is that he now has a gorgeous, and very powerful rifle with which to hunt further trophies.
