If I were to be discovered, I could easily be tried for high treason, but I cannot sit around any longer and watch this power be wasted. I have begun studying its power without the knowledge or consent of Rashem.
I know a greater power yet still lies dormant within this artifact, waiting for someone with the capability to unlock it. The power to permanently ward off death, the path to immortality.
This is the power I will discover for myself, and with it, I will set the course of this empire and its state in the world. I will create a world where my people no longer have to live in fear of death, and leave the suffering for the wretches of Chillwind and Viridia.
I will be the one to take the first napkin.
