The Tree of Life is a metaphysical concept based around the belief that there are ten core aspects to magic. Laid out along a tree diagram, with 22 connecting points, these aspects combine in unexpected ways to form the basis of magic we know today. Above all other aspects though is the crown.
Known as Keter, it is the power of consciousness. This aspect is thought to create life itself, should the user be strong enough. No mage has ever succeeded. Tapping into Keter has allowed animals to speak, golems to be ordered around, and even ways into mage's heads. But Keter is the least understood of these aspects, as its limits are yet unknown. The only way to know more would be to find the physical node of Keter, but it has yet to be discovered.
