Echoes of Oblivion is the final wool dungeon of the Celsian Isles. It is home to the teal wool.

Unlocking

While the entrance to the lobby is in the Sacrarium Of Aeons, it is inaccessible until the player reaches a certain point in the Unmasked quest. The NPC next to the entrance will give the player a key to the dungeon. Unlike most dungeons, completing the dungeon is part of the quest. Upon completion of Unmasked, delves as well as delve bounties for the teal dungeon are unlocked.

Lore

"When an event is forgotten, it becomes a legend. When a legend is forgotten, it becomes a myth. But when even the myth is forgotten, all trace of it is lost. This is the fate of the great empire of Isharist, the first Kingdom of the Celsian Isles. Its rule spanned the entire desert and tundra lands, and the great oceans between them. Ruled by a man whose strength stood unchallenged, Isharist was the pride of the world. However, these were different times. A spirit of great power wandered the land, and those who sought him out would let nothing get between them, an empire included."

Layout

After leaving the entrance room, a pitfall trap will drop the player into the void. Max, an npc found in the dungeon, will teleport you to a central island with an obelisk. This serves to tell the player that falling into the void will not result in death. Items falling into the void will still be shattered.

The dungeon is split into four sections, three eras and an escape section. The player must gather a certain amount of time crystals in each era (two for era 1, three for era 2, and five for era 3). They can then advance to the next era by talking to Max. Time crystals are in set locations around each era, three in era 1, five in era 2, and seven in era 3. Collecting all the time crystals guarantees a rare in the reward room.

Every era has a similar layout, with later eras being less ruined and having more paths. Era 1 is completely dilapidated and overgrown, while era 3 shows the area before its ruin. The layout consists of many floating islands with void below. The central island with Max and the obelisk are present in every era. Another building in every era is a large coliseum, which holds a miniboss when entered, varying on the era encountered in. Defeating the miniboss spawns a chest in the middle of the coliseum. The era 3 miniboss will only spawn after the previous two minibosses have been defeated, and its chest has a guaranteed Ancestral Sigil. Era 3 has two quick teleports to points higher and lower than the central island.

After advancing past the third era, a cutscene plays, leading to a tunnel opening. The player must now run through the area and reach the end in time without dying. Mobs spawn in order to impede and kill the player and chests with greater loot appear as an extra risk. Reaching the end in time rewards the player with the choice of one of seven relics, each benefitting a specific class. The escape section is keep inventory so dying will not cause the player's items to be lost. Whether the player dies or escapes and obtains a relic, they will be sent to the reward room and complete the dungeon.

Trivia

  • The advancement "Man of the Hour" is obtained by gathering all the crystals without falling into the void more than once (in order to allow entry at the beginning)
  • During the escape section, the song labelled "echorunrocks" in the music resource pack will play in the background. The song lasts for over 2 minutes and the end of it signifies the time limit running out.
