Professor Walthan, of Lowtide, is a blowhard. I don't think anyone would disagree with me. However, the man is genuinely quite talented. Somehow in his dangerous travels, he encountered a race long-thought to be extinct. Ents. Born of the legendary Tree of Life, they were protectors of its knowledge. So of course, Walthan destroyed them, fashioned an immense axe from them, and used the axe to do something unthinkable - take a clipping from the Tree itself. The fact Walthan refuses to tell anyone where the damn Tree itself is growing is quite frustrating, but the clipping seems even more interesting than the Ent-based axe I write of here. Further study may be necessary, as the clipping radiates immense Binah energy. Fascinating!
