Eternal Light

Once upon the winter's snow
I graced a sheep's eternal glow
Its nature flowed from brilliant Light
And filled my pathway through the night
But from that Light my life was chained
And through its glow my soul was stained
I walked with shame and tears of sorrow
Would I still glow come the morrow?
They soon mistook my burning strife
And to my glow dedicate their life
A palace of mirrors reflects my name
And long I yearned to be the same
But now I stand before the halls
And see now where fate to me calls
In this place my soul shall spark
For where there's light, there must be dark
