Experience

Several aspects of Monumenta require experience levels, such as item repairs or Infusions. Unlike vanilla Minecraft, experience costs never directly deduct levels. Instead, they deduct the amount of XP that would get you to a certain experience level.

This page gives an overview of all the Monumenta experience costs and how long it takes to reach certain levels.

Acquiring XP

There are several ways to gain experience, but the most common way in Monumenta is killing mobs and breaking spawners. A full list of Vanilla experience gains can be found on the Minecraft wiki. The most useful values are:

Experience bottle	3-11
Converting 1 CXP	56 (on average)
Converting 1 HXP	3584 (on average)
Killing most hostile mobs	5 + 1-3 per equipment
Killing a Blaze, Evoker or (Elder) Guardian	10
Killing a Baby Zombie	12
Returning to your death pile	7 per level (max 100)
