This is a supremely odd type of armor I’ve discovered hidden in caches deep in the jungle and highlands. Who managed to craft it, and from what, is a very odd tale that took me nearly a year of research. I had to undertake death defying stunts to uncover the truth. I searched from an ascending mine in the Highlands all the way to a well guarded ziggurat nestled into the Jungle before I finally found it. Essentially, the creation of Soulleather, as it’s known, is a dark art originated by the Tlaxans. Leather created from the flesh of a being known in Tlaxan writings as the “Questing Beast” has been combined with blood of a human sacrifice making it otherworldly, perhaps even granting it sentience. It heals from experience, a property only known to two living species, and it also vanishes, possibly returning to the Questing Beast, when its user perishes. I first found references to the Questing Beast within the Highlands; a set of bones and a small book celebrating a capture. This led me through my research until at last I managed to witness a ritual outfitting a warrior in the powerful armor…[the rest of the book seems to have been torn out. Who wanted this kept secret?]
