The Tree of Life is a metaphysical concept based around the belief that there are ten core aspects to magic. Laid out along a tree diagram, with 22 connecting points, these aspects combine in unexpected ways to form the basis of magic we know today. When a mage steps into one of these roots, sometimes called Ley Lines, they will feel a swell of power. Alongside this, they will feel emotion. Sadness, happiness, joy, rage? It depends on the power.
This all comes from Kiel, the emotional core of the Tree of Life. This is where the flexibility of your spells come in. Sometimes strength can be found in sadness, desperation, or great joy. Channeling Kiel often happens by accident, but will often be the final push your spell needs, tapping into reserves you didn't know you had.
