The Tree of Life is a metaphysical concept based around the belief that there are ten core aspects to magic. Laid out along a tree diagram, with 22 connecting points, these aspects combine in unexpected ways to form the basis of magic we know today. In the places where the roots of the magic cross are powerful points of immense magic, unlike any seen elsewhere. The Congress rests on one such point, attuned to Hallud.
Hallud is the seat of Power for the Tree of Life. It creates a magical "push" that allows a spell to really land. Without invoking Hallud, a magician may struggle to create the desired effect with the power one might expect. Hallud can be invoked more subtly as well. Hallud can grant longevity rather than strength, and help a user hold steady.
