"And though my children may fall to ruin, they will rise to join me. Though division may break them, I will mend their wounds."
- Protector Uriddan, Silver Codex, Book of Ascension

The end of Protector Uriddan's time on this earth was fraught with conflict.

Contemporary sources tell us that, by the time of his ascension, Uriddan was the only force holding together the increasingly dividing Eastern and Western continents of the Ring.

Geographical differences, economic hardship, and hundreds of other factors have been discussed as candidates for the war's causes. However, there was no true single cause for the conflict – the simple fact is, that a combination of all those differences, finally brought to a breaking point by Uriddan's ascension, were what led to the war.

This chapter will go on to illucidate those differences, in detail...

Your mind begins to cloud over. You want nothing less than to read the hundreds of subsequent pages on "cultural differences."

You close the massive tome, a dust cloud filling the air
