Legends have spoken of a more advanced form of ice, often called "True Ice". I didn't really understand how ice could be... well, more advanced, but as it turns out, it can be. Adventurers for the Congress have indeed found sources of this True Ice and returned with it for study. The crystalline structure within is magnificent, unlike anything I've seen in nature before. I'd argue that it's not quite natural in an expected sense though.
This True Ice forms near the bodies of the ancient Frost Giants, which has allowed us unprecedented access to its study thanks to the safe transportation of a Frost Giant for study, seemingly known as Hrimnir. While immensely interesting in and of itself, this ice has absolutely captivated me. It is as strong and resilient as steel forged by the Empires and keen-edged as well. If only we could find a way to shape it. It resists all attempts to cut, break, or chisel in any way. What we might need to break it seems only just out of reach.
