Look, I think we all are aware that the Conscriptorium is a weird place. There's a truly absurd amount of otherworldly magic contained within, and the spells cast to keep it all together are truly complex and beyond even the most veteran wizards. But even through these spells, the void leaks through from the darkness at the edges of that place. This artifact is one of those droplets of void. It has no magical resonance, but when spells are cast upon it to examine it... it seems to... absorb them?
