Mages are masters of area control, freezing, wounding, and igniting enemies with their strikes.

Abilities

Channeling

  • Passive: After casting a spell, your next melee attack with a wand deals 20% more damage.

Arcane Strike SkillArcane Strike.png

  • Level 1: When you attack an enemy with a wand, you unleash an arcane explosion dealing 4 arcane magic damage to all mobs in a 4 block radius around the target. Enemies that are on fire or slowed take 2 extra damage. Arcane Strike can not trigger Spellshock's static. Cooldown: 5s.
  • Level 2: The damage is increased to 7. Mobs that are on fire or slowed take 3 additional damage.
  • Enhance: Your enchantment on-hit effects are now also applied to all other enemies hit in the radius. Also this skill's damage is increased by 40%.

Frost Nova SkillFrost Nova.png

  • Level 1: While sneaking, left-clicking with a wand unleashes a frost nova, dealing 5 ice magic damage to all enemies in a 7-block sphere around you, afflicting them with 20% slowness for 4s, and extinguishing them if they're on fire. Slowness is reduced by 10% on elites and bosses, and all players in the nova are also extinguished. The damage ignores iframes. Cooldown: 18s.
  • Level 2: Damage is increased from 5 to 10. Base slowness is increased from 20% to 40%.
  • Enhance: Damage is increased by 15% and cooldown is reduced to 16s. Non elites and bosses are frozen for 1s, having their AI and gravity removed.

Prismatic Shield SkillPrismatic Shield.png

  • Level 1: When your health drops below 3 hearts you receive 5 Absorption hearts which lasts up to 12s. If damage taken would kill you but could have been prevented by up to 4 times this skill's absorption, it will save you from death. In addition enemies within 4 blocks are knocked back. Cooldown: 90s.
  • Level 2: The shield is improved to 8 Absorption hearts. Enemies within 4 blocks are knocked back and stunned for 1s.
  • Enhance: After Prismatic Shield is activated, in the next 5s, you deal 30.0% more damage and every spell that deals damage to at least one enemy will heal you for 5% of your max health. Additionally, 5s will be reduced from your abilites' cooldowns.

Magma Shield SkillMagma Shield.png

  • Level 1: While sneaking, right-clicking with a wand summons a torrent of flames, dealing 6 fire magic damage to all enemies in front of you within 7 blocks, setting them on fire for 6s, and knocking them away. The damage ignores iframes. Cooldown: 12s.
  • Level 2: Damage is increased from 6 to 12.
  • Enhance: Enemies hit by this ability take 50% extra damage by fire and 35% by fire based abilities for 6s.

Mana Lance SkillMana Lance.png

  • Level 1: Right clicking with a wand fires forth a piercing beam of Mana going 8 blocks, dealing 6 arcane magic damage to enemies in the path of the beam. This beam will not go through solid blocks. Cooldown: 5s.
  • Level 2: The beam instead deals 7 damage. Cooldown: 3s.
  • Enhance: Mana lance now has two charges.

Elemental Arrows SkillElemental Arrows.png

  • Level 1: Your fully drawn projectiles are set on fire. If sneaking, shoot an ice arrow instead, afflicting the target with 20% Slowness for 6 seconds. Projectiles shot this way are magically infused, scaling off of magic damage instead of projectile damage. Ice arrows deal 8 extra damage to Blazes. Fire arrows deal 8 extra damage to strays. This skill can not apply Spellshock.
  • Level 2: Your fire arrows also set nearby enemies within a radius of 3 blocks on fire when they hit a target. Your ice arrows also slow nearby enemies within a radius of 3 blocks when they hit a target. Both area of effect effects do 20% bow damage to all targets affected.
  • Enhance: Your next elemental arrow every 8s also stuns enemies hit for 1s and deals 50% more damage.

Spellshock

  • Level 1: Hitting an enemy with a spell inflicts static for 6 seconds. If an enemy with static is hit by another spell, a spellshock centered on the enemy deals 20% of the triggering spell's damage to all mobs in a 3 block radius. Spellshock can cause a chain reaction on enemies with static. An enemy can only be hit by a spellshock once per tick. If a static mob is struck by a melee attack, it takes 10% more damage on the hit and is slowed by 30% for 0.5 seconds, clearing the static.
  • Level 2: Damage is increased to 30% for spells and 15% for melee. Additionally, gain +20% speed for 2 seconds whenever a spellshock is triggered.
  • Enhance: Attacking enemies with Spellshock with an Arcane spell will grant you +3% speed for 6 seconds, stacking up to 5 times. Enemies with Spellshock take 20% more damage from your Fire spells, are slowed by 15% from your Ice spells for 6 seconds, and are weakened by 20% from your Lightning spells for 6 seconds.

Thunder Step SkillThunder Step.png

  • Level 1: Pressing the drop key while holding a wand materializes a flash of thunder, dealing 5 thunder magic damage to all enemies in a 4 block radius around you and knocking them away. The next moment, you teleport towards where you're looking, travelling up to 8 blocks or until you hit a solid block, and repeat the thunder attack at your destination, ignoring iframes. Cooldown: 20s.
  • Level 2: Damage is increased from 5 to 8. Teleport range is increased from 8 to 10 blocks.
  • Enhance: Within 3s of casting, use the same trigger to return to the original starting location, dealing 20% of the skill's damage. If you do not do so, your next Thunder Step within 30s will paralyze enemies for 5s.

Arcanist

Arcanists are mages that specialize at controlling their skill cooldowns and getting up close.

Choosing this specialization requires completion of Older Magic.

Cosmic Moonblade SkillCosmic Moonblade.png

  • Level 1: Swap while holding a wand to cause a wave of arcane blades to hit every enemy within a 5 block cone 2 times in rapid succession. Each slash deals 5 arcane magic damage and reduces all your other skill cooldowns by 5% (Max 0.5s) if it hits at least one mob. Cooldown: 8s.
  • Level 2: Cooldown reduction is increased to 10% (Max 1s) per blade and damage is increased to 7.

Astral Omen

  • Level 1: Dealing spell damage to an enemy marks its fate, giving it an omen based on the spell type (Arcane, Fire, Ice, Thunder). If an enemy hits 2 omens of different types, its fate is sealed, clearing its omens and causing a magical implosion, dealing 7 magic damage to it and all enemies within 3 blocks. An enemy loses all its omens after 10s of it not gaining another omen. That implosion's damage ignores iframes and itself cannot apply omens. Omens cannot be applied or sealed by Elemental Arrows.
  • Level 2: The implosion now pulls all enemies inwards. Enemies hit by the implosion now take 15% more damage from you for 8s.
  • Tips: It's recommended to alternate spell types to trigger Astral Omen as many times as possible. There is only one spell for each element except for Arcane, so it's recommended to cast Mana Lance or Cosmic Moonblade between Fire, Ice, or Thunder Spells. The second hit from Thunderstep (u) applies a Thunder omen.

Sage's Insight SkillSage's Insight.png

  • Level 1: If an active spell hits an enemy, you gain an Arcane Insight. Insights stack up to 8, but decay every 4s of not gaining one. Once 8 Insights are revealed, the cooldown of the previous 2 spell cast is refreshed. This sets your Insights back to 0.
  • Level 2: Sage's Insight now refreshes the cooldowns of your previous 3 spells, upon activating.

Elementalist

Elementalists are the undisputed masters of the elements. They excel at zoning and crowd control.

Elemental Spirits SkillElemental Spirits.png

  • Level 1: Two spirits accompany you - one of fire and one of ice. The next moment after you deal fire damage, the fire spirit instantly dashes from you towards the farthest enemy that spell hit, dealing 10 fire magic damage to all enemies in a 1.5-block cube around it along its path. The next moment after you deal ice damage, the ice spirit warps to the closest enemy that spell hit and induces an extreme local climate, dealing 4 ice magic damage to all enemies in a 3-block cube around it every second for 3s. If the spell was Elemental Arrows, the fire spirit does an additional 25% of the projectile weapon's original damage, and for the ice spirit, an additional 10%. The spirits' damage ignores iframes. Independent cooldown: 10s.
  • Level 2: Fire spirit damage is increased from 10 to 15. Ice spirit damage is increased from 4 to 6. Bonus Elemental Arrows damage is increased from 25% to 40% for the fire spirit, and from 10% to 15% for the ice spirit.

Starfall SkillStarfall.png

  • Level 1: While holding a wand, pressing the swap key marks where you're looking, up to 25 blocks away. You summon a falling meteor above the mark that lands strongly, dealing 15 fire magic damage to all enemies in a 6 block radius around it, setting them on fire for 5s, and knocking them away. Cooldown: 18s.
  • Level 2: Damage is increased from 15 to 27.
  • Tips: Need confirmation on aiming - does it lock onto mobs when casted while looking at one?

Blizzard SkillBlizzard.png

  • Level 1: Right click while sneaking, looking upwards, and holding a wand to create a storm of ice and snow that follows the player, dealing 3 ice magic damage every second to all enemies in a 7 block radius around you. The blizzard lasts for 10s, and chills enemies within it, slowing them by 25%. Players in the blizzard are extinguished if they are on fire, and the ability's damage bypasses iframes. This ability does not interact with Spellshock. Cooldown: 30s.
  • Level 2: Damage is increased from 3 to 5, aura size is increased from 7 to 10 blocks, slowness increased to 30%.
  • Tips: This skill is very helpful for Choler; Flame Shield can no longer be casted while looking up
