Freedom is a book written by Siershen about his attempts to free the mages trapped within the Arcane Rivalry. It can be found in Velara after unlocking the area during Roots of the Plague.

Selxem told me the dangers of the Plagueroot Temple, but he failed to tell me how well protected the Velara Fortress is. I've been trying my best to get inside. I need the crystals they create within. Even after years of attempts, I've not been able to replicate the magic they've created in here. I hate to do it and break the trust of the Tlaxans, but I need to steal a crystal.
There is no other way I can think of to successfully store the magic of my people's tower and give them a way out of the bubble of time. If we can get them free of the bubble while leaving the Alchemists trapped with the wool, then I'll have finally succeeded in my mission. I see no issue leaving the wool trapped. It's safer that way.
I just want to finally free my people. This is all they have asked of me.
