Strikes are a fast-paced piece of content that can typically be unlocked by completing certain quests. There are currently 7 strikes in the game.

Strike Lobbies

Each strike is accessed by its own lobby matching the theme and aesthetics of the strike itself. These lobbies can be accessed by quests and/or a teleporter in a POI. Once unlocked, they can also be accessed by the teleporter hubs in Sierhaven, Mistport, and Galengarde depending on the region.

Strike lobbies vary heavily in shape and layout. Typically, there is one NPC that sells keys, one Gate Guardian to start an instance, an artifact/rare trader, and enderchests.

Gameplay

All strikes feature a limited amount of players that may start an instance (typically either four or six players max). While not a requirement, strikes are balanced towards these amounts of players, and will prove more difficult with less. Additionally, strikes are only one life, meaning any player who dies or disconnects is immediately kicked out of the strike without any reward. Because of this, items will not shatter on death.

Loot is acquired differently from POIs and dungeons. Rather than having loot in the chests, attempting to open a chest instead causes it to disappear and increase the amount of loot in the lootroom. Players will earn their loot only if they survive and defeat the strike. Chests destroyed by explosions or mobs will not count towards the total loot score.

Each strike has its own unique boss at the end that must be defeated in order to defeat the strike.

Every strike also has a special mechanic. Some have an innate timer that kills all players if it reaches zero, and must be extended by other methods. Others have a minimum requirement of mob kills or spawner breaks that must be met before the boss can be accessed. There are multiple other unique mechanics present in certain strikes that either must be used to complete it or can be used to player's advantage.

Lootrooms

When the boss is defeated, a teleporter activates in the arena that living players can step on to enter their own lootroom. In the lootroom, there are no loot chests, but rather loot will drop on the floor. The amount of loot typically depends on the number of chests acquired during the duration of the strike. Affected drops include money, blocks, and filler. Fragments for artifacts or rares will only drop one on the first completion of the day (except for the first win ever, which gives two). Epic materials and special currencies will still drop on subsequent wins, but give the most on the first completion of the day.

Story Strikes

Story Strikes are special strike-like content that's much more tame, featuring unlimited deaths, easier mobs, and little to no completion requirements. Additionally, they do not have a lootroom, and chests will instead provide typical loot like a POI or dungeon.

There is only one Story Strike available in the game, that being Inner Sanctum.
